Pigeon's Eye View

I see more Pigeons than any other kind of bird. Especially because they sit/poop on my balcony a lot. The first pic is from the roof ledge of my building where the birds sit, and the second is one of the views of from my balcony. It's really hard to hold the camera still for a long exposure like this (about 3 seconds), so the fountain is a little blurry.

Love love the colors in the first one! And the angle it was taken from, masterly.

I like the shape the green circle makes in the second one, as well as the pattern of the little light diamonds.

The colors in the first one clash just a little too much for me. The sodium vapor lights are just too orange next to the green and blue. I do like the perspective and vanishing point though.

Meg's my choice this time, for the first photo. Love it. The angles are imposing, the colors fight in a mesmerising way, the vanishing point sucks me right in, and the view point totally makes me feel like a pigeon on top of the world. I wish I could take a photo like this!

The second photo is cool, but confuses me. I mean, I know what it is, I just get a sense of disorientation when I look at it. The junction of shapes is abrupt and surprising. I feel a little bit like I'm looking at a ferris wheel in the dark while drunk. How could I not like that?

I really like these photos. The organic shape of the clouds in the first contrasts nicely with the harder, man-made lines of the... well, man-made stuff. I like the blur of the second one, it seems to me as though it were a fond, hazy memory of looking at pretty things in the dark. Nice submission.
