Oops, overslept

Oh no! I fell asleep and missed my own deadline. Just for funsies, here are the photos I had wanted to submit:

Bboys preparing to battle

I really like the first photo. It feels like it was shot from within the trees down at those strange humans on human land doing human things. I also like that the bboys' shadows don't obviously match up with their apparent stances. I'd love to see a higher-res version. My favorite aspect is the shadows!

And the second one, haha, I thought of the divebombing targets before I noticed your label. In fact, I had made a similar comment on Doug's photo. I wish the colors on the blue and red bikes could have been more vibrant, but the fact that they stand out so clearly while the foreground edge is so blurred really conveys a sense of peeking down, from a bird's eye view. Very nice.

HAHA you said chirpchirps. I am now stealing that term. *thievery* I like the first photo, especially in the black and white. I like that everything in the photo is facing the same direction, even the shadows are pointed that way. It makes the battle really visual; they seem to be on the precipice of something. The second photo does seem to give a bit of the "peeking" sense, though if that was the real intent, I wish that there was a little more ledge in the composition. Glad you decided to submit even though you must've been exhausted at 3am!!

I've uploaded the photos is a different way so that they can be viewed in slightly higher resolution. Thanks for the comments guys!

I'm glad you edited and posted them larger.

The second photo really doesn't do it for me. The bright lower half keeps drawing my eye away from the bikes (which look really interesting) and there's not much to see there.

I love the first one. The contrast is dead on, the 4x5 aspect ratio works well, the mood is really gritty, and it tells a story. The shadows add a lot to it; I'm glad you took it at the time of day you did.
