Falling like flies...

Hi everyone,
I guess I’ll "break the ice" this week!
With cold times coming, it makes life difficult for small insects. Yesterday, I found a dead fly by my window :-(

Some of you, looking at these pictures, could think that I own a crazy powerful macro lens. Well, not exactly. I just used a technique I found on the internet.

For the rest of my fly pictures, see my picasa website.

I've used that technique in the past. It really does work well. Getting a reversing ring is key; holding the lens on the front is a huge pain.

There weren't any reversing rings in stock around here, so I made my own by gluing two step up rings together.

These are some fantastic photos, but I wish I had some context that would suggest that the fly is dead (from cold). As everyone else said, I'm glad that you had posted your tip; it's really helpful!
