So here's my first attempt at what I'll optimistically call photography. The only thing I could think of with the crackle theme was what happens when you accidentally get water in a pan of hot grease. These two represent my two favorite of about 10 tries at dropping a teaspoon of water into a skillet of bacon grease. I used the image editing software that came with my laptop to mess with the colors a little bit.

Biases aside, I really do like the first shot in this series. The high contrast really enhances the water exploding on the oil. Plus I like how it kinda looks like an old 70's photo.
The second photo makes me think of my brain on drugs. Stupid Rachel Leigh Cook and her darned memorable PSA's!
I love the coloring of the first photo but I feel like I want to say, close but not quite... The impression I get is more of sizzle or spatter or hissing and popping... lots of sound so absolutely bonus points, but not exactly crackle. Still, it's a good looking photo. Reminds me of something I'd see sold at an Urban Outfitters.
